Sustainability

Pelagic invests in sustainable CSR programmes in order ensure that we contribute to addressing some of the socio-economic ills faced by vulnerable groups in the areas in which we operate, including the environmental impact caused by our industry.

Pelagic is honored to support reforestation with One Tree Planted as part of our commitment to sustainability.

Let's Plant Some Trees

One Tree Planted

We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’re partnering with One Tree Planted to donate US$1.00 for every truck loaded.

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.

Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well being, and create jobs for social impact. We’re honored to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model.

Pelagic sees it as imperative to support organisations that seeks to address women rights in these communities, as such, Pelagic supports the Kuhluka Movement, a non-profit organisation that provides comprehensive and specialised counselling, legal and health services to survivors of gender based domestic violence. As such, Pelagic co-hosted a fund-raising dinner in New York on the September 26th, 2018 to showcase the work of Kuhluka.
