The LG6 chromite Bauba brand, distributed by Pelagic Resources, has the performance to satisfy these demands.
Customers who order Bauba branded chromite sand can be assured of a premium product with a rounded grain shape and a concentrated grain size distribution. It is free from the quality variations that come from blending chrome ores from different seams or origins. Through our best in practice production and drying processes, the product is controlled batch to batch. Available in AFS 40-45 and 40-50, wet in bulk or dried in 1 metric tonne bulk bags.

Technical interpretation
The concentrated distribution supports predictable compaction and permeability while the rounded grain shape promotes flow and uniform packing. Final binder addition, ramming or shooting settings and reclamation practice should be confirmed under each foundry’s process conditions.

Steel and iron castings, high-alloy and non-ferrous work, facing sand, cores and mould zones prone to penetration or burn-on, and ladle and taphole sands.

Due to the high Cr2O3 content in Bauba LG6 chemical grade ore, the amount of residue in the ore is reduced, and in addition, the correspondingly low SiO2 content makes it a preferred grade for the low lime manufacturing process in the Chrome Chemical Industry.
